**************NEWS RELEASE******************* Drill program to target high grade copper in Nevada International Taurus Resources Inc ITS Shares issued 28,530,403 Feb 5 close $0.34 Mon 8 Feb 99 News Release Mr. Robert Blakestad reports Drilling has started on the Lyon copper-magnetite-gold project in Nevada. The initial 1,500 metre program is targeted to expand a high-grade resource of 12.1 million tons grading 3.41 per cent copper that was previously identified by Cyprus Metals Exploration Corporation, a subsidiary of Cyprus Amax Minerals Company. The first program is designed to expand the Northwest deposit, which contains a resource of 3.0 million tons grading 3.45 per cent copper and where previous drilling by USX Corporation intersected 173 feet of 4.54 per cent copper in one hole and 58 feet grading 4.98 per cent in an adjacent hole. The goal is to define a high-grade starter deposit that will justify early development and be the basis for a low-cost operation. The company believes that the Lyon project is one of the best undeveloped copper properties in North America. The company continues to evaluate the inclusion of a venture partner at Lyon that will contribute development and operating expertise to advance the project as quickly as possible.
