I am a physician and I was talking with an American Home Products pharmaceutical rep the other day. He knew that Duramed is close to getting approval for Cenestin to compete against their Premarin. He sounded like AHP has briefed all their reps about this possibility and he was fast to point out that Cenestin is not a generic Premarin but "a separately branded product similar to but not premarin". This will probably be AHP's marketing approach to keep as much of the market for themselves. Duramed can point out that Cenestin is made from yams while Premarin is made from horse urine. Also that Cenestin is a purer product.

Doug...I notice a substantial pickup in option calls, no puts and strangely most trading being done on the phillie exchange. It looks like we are getting closer to approval and money is starting to appear. Not enough to say someone knows for sure, but it's a good sign nevertheless.
