Ed, I think the Cyrix note was but a small part of a mountain of evidence suggesting that the rate of growth in pc sales has slowed in units and has very likely declined in dollars due to a substantial decline in ASPs. As our fearless leader has said many times " it ain't sales its margins" . Less than two years ago most on Wall St foresaw nothing but steady growth in SEA and Japan in recovery while the Austrian economists saw a bubble in SEA that would burst. Our turn in the US is coming the bigger the boom the bigger the bust. there will be tough love fer all including da Mythman. Mike

Ed, No, the box sales have already been reported as being awful. Cyrix was just the most recent to note the fact. They do have other things going on that hurts them. But lower demand is no help. MB
