we agree that lots of y2k dollars were spent in 1998. that is why revenues for the pc industry went negative for the first time in the history of the industry. that was my original point. again, demand is not independent of price. current demand is weak in that it IS UNABLE TO SUPPORT GROWING REVENUES. at least it was last year. for the FIRST time. the same year where money was spent on y2k than any other year. hmmmmm... ;-)

you are an optimist, though, if you believe that all companies are prepared for y2k now.
