You think the correction is over? <<

Mike- i do believe there's more near term down side and a retest of Fridays intraday lows. However, I can not stress enough the need to be very selective for this is the year of the stock picker. Be patient and use the weakness to accumulate those issues that look attractive technically. Keep some powder dry in the mean time. We could go to 2220-50 on the Compx that would be about 10% percent correction. So far the DJIA has experienced a 5% correction from this year's highes on a second retest 1/25/99, so if the primary support level, 9087, is broken, then the prospects for a 5% to 10% sell increases to the secondary support 8676. A decline on profit taking should come as no surprise in the large cap techs especially when one calculates the superb returns we enjoyed from the market's October
8, 1998 lows. Enjoy.
