The first time I called and asked when we could expect to find out details of the Alta-Vista spin-off. The answer I received was 'probably by the end of February' I called a second time and said that I had seen on a message board that someone had spoken with IR and that IR had said 'full details will be available within three weeks of the intial Alta-Vista announcement' I asked if this was true, and the answer I got was 'No, there are a lot of rumours out there, the only thing CPQ has stated is that it is their intention to make Alta-Vista a public company some time in the future, but how that will effect shareholders, if at all, is not known yet.'

Hi El, I'll try to carry the ball tonight for you. Wall $treet Week tonight had Mary Farrell investment strategist with PW. She said this was a normal correction and a good buying opportunity. She likes IBM, CPQ and MSFT and stated it was not too soon to own these stocks. How'd I do El?

El, today was an incredible buying opportunity. I missed out because I had to go with my wife for a sonogram to see our new baby boy. I would think that buying CPQ is a great way to get the inside track on getting AV shares cheap. :O) Drew
