Divine Ms. X,
Apparently it means that interest rates are going up and that gold and oil are good things.

Good morning, everyone. I'm on the mend and doing MUCH better. Thanks so much for the very nice messages the other day. Truly heartwarming. Thanks again. I'll pick my spots where I can best contribute. Still a good deal away from a daily contribution.

If you are not feeling well, then I advise skipping the latest Chartcraft Firday Hotline as you will not be cheered if you are bullish on the market. With permission from Chartcraft, here's a quick summary:

-Dow 20 Bond Avg. gives a sell for the first time since 6/97. Rates likely to rise from here. Chartcraft believes this indicates that market drops can be worse without the bond market support as a mitigating factor.

-Short Term TIR Composite remains on a sell.

-Master Indicator gave a sell this week moving to minus - 77 1/2 from + 22. Designed to turn bearish at important tops. A big negative.

-A High Pole Top in the IBD Mutual Fund Index.

-Chartcraft suggests: Getting off margin, reduce invested position, and reduce upside targets.

Your mending pal,
Bruce
