Yeah, I didn't find the jewel case stuff quite so shlocky, but I still would print on card stock and don't see good format options , etc. I print on 8.5 x 11 card stock beautifully on color and laser printers. I find the formatting more than adequate. All the basic options are there... Make sure you play with insert object. I honestly don't find the interface difficult. I can format all my text and images in a matter of minutes. Some things are quirky but I can make covers quickly. I probably wouldn't know a good graphics program if I saw it but it works for me.....
