CB, today there weren't really any wild swings. Just "new money" moving into the three DOW oil stocks and other recently upgraded DOW laggards. The better to sell off IBM et al. This is sector rotation at it's finest. Are you familiar with IGL (fertilizers, I think). Two mega-blocks were crossed the other day, and then low and behold the company received an upgrade. I'm not at all sure whether this one is for real or just another false start for the cyclicals. USX (X) is one of my barometers. It's gone a little farther than I think it would if this were a fake-out. Just another curiosity from the paranoid school of investing: I find it interesting that one of the triggers for this tech sell-off was the negative comments of Tom Kurlak (Merrill) on Intel. Merrill has been very negative on the market for a long time now. You don't suppose.....
