Jean, You make it sound as though instead of voting we should just take a poll of 1,000 people and then declare the winner. Yeah, right. I may be idealistic but I do think that sometime, somewhere, somehow we will eventually get more honest voter rolls simply because technology will allow us to do it easily and quickly and regular folks like you and me (but not necessarily politicians) will demand it. Whether or not biometrics is a part of it, I don't know, but it is likely. BTW - I still get all of my voter materials and ballots from a district I moved away from 6 years ago. All they have to do is to check my zip code and they would know I am no longer in that district, but do they ever check on simple things like that? Apparently not. I hope you have a pleasant weekend. Rick ps - As I look at my charts, it sure looks like the market is going to roll over. Does anyone else think so, too?
