John, IMHO, Marcy's in the clear.

The clincher was the Micron presentation at the Montgomery conference Wednesday. We can't say what the stock will do on Thursday, but it rose 7% before his talk. Maybe word of the Bedard effect is getting around.

The effect is bizarre though.

Then again, what's the risk Kip is actually going to stand up there and do anything but sell the stock?

The guy could put drop of water on a hot griddle and convince these money managers they're going to be eating prime rib.

IMHO, that's the real explanation of the effect. The anticipation of that and the feedback loop that occurs ahead of time.
