Xerox
Because the millennium change is an enterprise
issue that affects not only internal systems but
the entire supply chain (from component
designers to resellers and end customers),
Xerox has established a proactive strategy to
address the year 2000. This strategy includes
engaging EDS as its global information services
provider to effectively meet its year 2000
challenges.

The challenge? Xerox needs to ensure that both
its products and internal systems are fully year
2000-compliant. While Xerox focuses on its
products, suppliers and business partners, EDS
helps evaluate its infrastructure and many of its
major business applications. The systems
involved -- from order fulfillment to
manufacturing and billing -- directly affect Xerox
customers. All system components must be
reviewed and fixed or replaced to ensure they
are capable of processing year 2000 dates.
Xerox's mandate to EDS and its suppliers is to
make all business-critical systems and services
year 2000-compliant by the end of 1998. With
more than 2,500 applications, three major
information processing centers and 60,000
workstations worldwide, that job is a tall order
-- the kind EDS is known to handle
successfully.

The clock is ticking, and with the help of EDS,
Xerox is on target to achieve continued market
leadership in the new millennium.
