Is avoiding a redundant NT backup...

I never saw it as a redundant NT backup. The KOT will be a small NT/Win98 install. Once compressed in a Drive image it will fit on a CDR. A copy can be kept somewhere on the harddrive if you choose. This NT will be configured differently than the IDE1 install. It is a different animal. If it is an integral part of the system it warrants backing up IMO.

try not to overutilize things like PM.

Agreed. It is important to utilize it ie become familiar with it..and then keep it in its place.

You mean disk space? I thought they gave that away these
days <g>. I can't think of any other overhead. Is disk
space what you meant?
