Were these cold boots?

Yes..probably a couple of warm boots too, My thinking was something did not get properly written into the MBR after the resize..I can only guess at these things.. PM usually wants to reboot after an operation. Had I rebooted after the resize the new information would have been written to the MBR. Then when I encountered the freeze in the next operation it may not have caused a problem.

I am about 30 percent sure on this one<g>
