"Is that holy macaroni or holey macaroni?" It depends on if we are talking about real or nominal macaroni. If we are talking about this years box, it's wholly macaroni. If we are referencing to last years box, it's holey due to inflation. Since the price goes up each year, we have to assemble better production techniques thereby raising the marginal product of capital. This would shift my investment demand curve to match inflation and then real and nominal or holey and wholly would become the same. Colin
