Richard; really, I'm not THAT ignorant. Of course I write Personal Criteria Formulas in TC2000. They practically write themselves. My intention is not to scare people away from QP2. As I've said before, it's an excellent program. To continue Brooke's analogy, it's the "heavy" of scanning programs. But to operate a 747 you need extensive training, a crew, ground support, etc. TC2000 is more like a little Gulfstream. It doesn't have the range or capacity, but it's much easier to handle. I think any lurkers trying to evaluate a program should be aware of how it might apply to their particular needs. A few posts back, I think it was Ken who said he loves QP2, but he still hasn't been able to write a scan that works. He borrows and modifies. Shouldn't a program be a servant rather than a master? What kind of servant won't let Ken write a scan that works? In my view, THAT'S not right. I WAS in my comfort zone with QP1. Let's face it, had I not been stopped out of QP1, and subsequently discovered that converting my QP1 scans to QP2 was going to be a bitch-and-a-half, I never would have looked at TC2000. I'd been ignoring their ads in TASC for years. And yes, now I'm back in a comfort zone. With help from people on this board, I got my 8 scans replicated, and that's the way it's been for a few months. Sure, I could chop the database with a pre-scan, but never to 400. Maybe to 3000. In any event, I'm not anxious to change anything right now. Maybe when I'm in a subservient mood I'll play around with that concept. Regarding data, here's an example that popped up tonight. Check your QP2 database for ALLY. If you downloaded the same file I did, you'll see that it hasn't traded for a week. However, TC2000, DTN, and PCQuote all show that ALLYD has indeed been trading all week. As I said in a prior post, QP regularly misses the "D" symbol changes. I can't recall every having similar problems with QP1. So there you have it, lurkers. QP2 is a great program. I like the look and feel of the charting interface. But I cull my daily trading candidates in TC2000. And that is the rock on which you too may flounder. Good night/morning, Richard
