Boy its tough for me to avoid sitting in front of the computer reading this forum even for a month. Addicted. BAM, another vote of thanks for the energy and acumen you, and others new and old, are contributing. <<As a "pure play," TVW/Reiter could generate a market capitalization orders of magnitude higher than AXC could sustain by itself. Shouldn't have to work that way, but it does.>> May be true right now - almost certainly is - though I personally have dreamed .......... developments on a variety of fronts breaking well for Ampex ..... capitalization heading well north of a billion within a couple of years. But that would take some doing. In any case, BAM implies a key point - that Ampex's strategy would seem to be at least partly based upon equity appreciation temporarily replacing cash flow from revenues as a means for improving liquidity and funding their plans ( and Thank God they do now clearly have plans). The shelf offering Sal mentioned ( soon to be expanded in size I suspect and hope), and the extremely likely IPO someday, may both play into that. Soon we'll know a few numbers. At the risk of becoming what BAM described as a "balance sheet jockey" , I sure do hope those numbers don't make the market soil their jockeys. ( which would also given new meaning to tough short selling ...lol). Summarizing the obvious immediate cash flow fronts. DST should grow someday, but they are really just too good for their own good.. Micronet products show growth promise. The Apple recovery should help. But that'll take time to show. A DCR sales recovery would give the biggest jolt to the balance sheet ...but who knows the prospects? Some of those sales ( if there are any) cannot even be announced. Hush hush contracts. Royalties always remain interesting item. And Ampex's video and audio expertise is real. So while I do not know how much filet mignon can be squeezed into a 28.8 or 56 package of beef jerky, I eagerly await what they are going to bring to the table. Hope it is something that can be proudly presented as " The Net Via Ampex ". But none of those thing can yet offer the immediate potential that an appreciation in the AXC share price or a successful IPO could provide. So here's hoping the upcoming stream of news does the trick over time. The result would be a much cleaner balance sheet, and the liquidity to pursue their dreams. Definitely staying tuned here.
