Justa, good suggestion. I'm going to call VECO first thing Monday morning. I've never heard of an offering being priced and not sold (or susequently re-priced). You're sure this is an option?

Given the tremendous volume the last three days, especially Wed the placement day when it traded over 3 mil shares, I suspect that it has been placed. Regardless, the way Merrill is supporting the price (I've watched at they literally have eaten tens of thousand of shares. Normally on VECO it's a thousand or two, then they move), means that they now have tens of thousands of shares in their coffers. I suppose that they could be buying for a customer, but why not get a lower price as the market is tanking.

The whole thing just doesn't make sense.
