Ken, I am very skeptical of these bashers that appear on various stock threads. I really do not believe they are do-good liberals trying to save us from ourselves. Furthermore, they often appear on threads with little or no short interest and where the company is objectively not a piece of garbage.

In general, the simplest explanation is the best starting point for anything in life. The simplest explanations are that they are either angry at themselves for having sold at a lower price and trying to knock it down to get back in, or are trying to establish an initial position. This strategy of bashing CCUR is actually quite sound in view of the large non-institutional float and the severe corrections from rally highs that occur from time to time.

For example, remember when you were having trouble getting more stock at $3? Another dozen posts sprinkled into YAHOO talking the stock down might have scared up another 10,000 shares on the sell side.
