Tom:

I did not know what the abbreviation DMA was, but now I do.

The daily moving average (50day or 200day) is the dependent variable; the effect of investor sentiment on the buying and/or selling of ECD stock. Investor sentiment is based on the actual situation (the facts about) of ECD to the best that investors know and can understand these facts.

Most of this SI ECD board is a discussion of these facts about ECD. These facts mostly concern ECD's propriety technologies, which if commercialized would increase the value of ECD. These facts are the basis for fundamental analysis while the DMA and other market volume and strength indicators are technical analysis. both can be useful in following ECD.

Based on all the fundamental analysis, investors following ECD may want to forecast the earnings per share (EPS) on a quarterly and a yearly basis. I was wondering if you or any of the readers of this board have made an EPS forecast for the quarter ending 12/31/99 (the second quarter of the ‘99 fiscal year).
I believe that the second quarter 10Q should be out by Monday, 2/15/99.

I have tried to put an excess worksheet that we may all use to estimate [forecast, predict] ECD's EPS in this web page but it does not work. I will put this worksheet on my web page when I have the chance. All the numbers in this table I took from ECD 10-q and 10-ks.
The spaces with the ** are to be filled in with SI reader's estimates.

Actual Actual 1999>1998
QT Qt/Yr Ended 1999 1998 Diff
1 9/30/98 (0.41) (0.40)
2 12/31/98 ** (0.32)
3 3/31/99 ** (0.35)
4 6/30/99 ** (0.43)
Year ** (1.50)

I am sorry if this does not post in columns and rows.

I believe that this is the bottom line which reflects the success of ECD to commercialize its technology. The estimating of future earnings is fundamental analysis based on the analysis of ECD and the markets that it operates in.
