Kurlak aimed his comments mainly at AMD, and then lowered earnings, but not his recommendation, on Intel. AMAT was intact. In fact, his comments were about the increased competition, something that should help AMAT.

The plant will be built in suburban Portland. Negotiations have been underway with the State of Oregon regarding a $12.5B tax abatement for Intel.

Can you direct me to the source of info on the deal, I'm lame, I don't read the Oregonian any longer unless it's cited on SI. ;)
