I have to admit that the argument is kinda fun but..... Back to business I'm going to try this one more time to see if Harold can see what I'm talking about. Stocks don't necessarily always trade on fundamentals. There is a psychology to the market. By comparing AMD to COMS I am comparing the trading psychology of the stock. AMD like COMS is #2. Its earnings have been unpredictable. And there are lot's of people out there who have been burned by the stock, analysts included. These kind of things make stock holders nervous. It doesn't really take to much to start an exodus to the door when things go wrong. These stocks tend to be volatile. If you play their volatility it can make you money. Long term they will either gain the respect of the investor community or fade away. Sunw is a good example. I had owned SUN since 1996 it just never got the respect it deserved. Always traded up to the max pe of 20 then everyone sold. Then it would drop to a PE of 12 and everyone would buy. If You played it right you made money. If you were a long term investor you didn't make as much. But now Sunw has broken out and everyone has pretty much figured out that unix is here and is not going away no matter how much MSFT wants it to. But Sun (Scott M.)sat down and restructured the way the company did business, gave analysts what they wanted, and have built up their reputation again. The only really painful thing was listening to twister on the sunw thread for so long. Just my 2 cents. Joe P.
