Razor, good comment. Responses. While MSFT has always had a rich valuation, it has never been anywhere close to the ridiculous values of the internuts. Also, it has always acquired far smaller companies. Regarding the internuts, an acquisition might make sense if a larger internut is acquiring a smaller one, or a large internut is acquiring a smaller proven company with real earnings.

But I'm not sure it would make sense for a company like BYND, who lost $31 million on sales of $39 million to acquire a company that made $3 million on $235 million of sales. Yes, their market cap. puts them in the position to do so, but I think they might be afraid that in doing so, they would then be valued like an unprofitable PROG.

Razorbak- the acquisitions made have tended to be relatively small and in a specialty that complemented, rather than supplemented, the existing business. (correct me if you come up with a counter example)
