Hi Mr. A--long time no postie. :-)
OK so aside from the problem of which parking spot the damned bird winds up in, what's the problem with Vandenberg? I take it you haven't evaluated the assets at UCSB?
When you next have a crayon and some really simplistic mind meld type thoughts, answer this one. From my (distinctly non-rocket scientist) perspective, it seems odd that a little thing like 3,000 miles could really matter. I mean these things are zipping around the world every few hours, right? Or is it that the rocket just goes more or less in a straight line and that flying it is really kind of not what it was designed for? Let's cut to the chase: I want to set off a real estate boom in Ventura/Santa Barbara. The least you could do is figure out how to get a few thousand more highly educated yuppy space jockies in town. Remember, the beach spot you save could be your own! Kind regards, Mike Doyle
