Specifically because they are, respectively, "sporadic" and "long-running." Many's the time that I've at least cringed a little at one of JLA's insults, although I feel that many of them are aimed at people who clearly get some sort of perverse enjoyment out of that sort of thing, so I try to just let them go at each other. This is the situation that I most commonly find you and JLA in, and usually I don't know, nor do I care who or what started it this time.

The situation with Lorrie is entirely different, because the whole thing stems from one single comment that she made sometime ago that was clearly wrong. It's not the same sort of ongoing crap that you and he throw at each other, but one single incident in which she was wrong.

I hesitated to even suggest apologizing in the first place. I mostly did because I was surprised that she hadn't already. But I certainly don't expect her to do it simply because I brought it up, and I think that the more that we make an issue out of it, the less likely she'll be to do it (I know that would be true for me). So, while I felt it necessary to respond to this post, these will be my final words on the subject.
