If he does think that, the market does not agree with him. To measure whether an acquisition is successful or not, you have to look at if a reasonable number of ex-executives and top employees are kept in the company to date. In the case of ASND/CSCC, it's not a successful merger, simply because almost all top ex-executives and A LOT of best engineers have already left. ASND is unable to keep them, and there might be some reasons behind that, IMO. SL

Kenneth, ASND/CSCC turned into CSCC. If it weren't for that merger ASND would be gone. They were getting their lunch eaten in the RAS space. They had no choice but to be successful since their original business was failing....it was a retool. Really if you look at that the paradigm is a bit differnt than a "merger". As for NT/Bay...the jury is still out. I don't think you can call that a success yet. Not that it won't be....just that I think it's a bit early...don't you? ASND/LU will take time. I believe that they are more likely than not to succeed, but it will take time..perhaps 4-6 quarters minimum. Remember Wellfleet/Synoptics? OG
