My own wild ass guess would be that Bill Clinton reminds Chris exactly of some kid who was elected to be Class President instead of Chris, even though Chris knows in his own heart and soul that he, Chris, was much better qualified, and had a much better platform, and had done much better posters, and had been Class Vice-President the year before, and was just as smart and good-looking, and was much more active in school events, and..

Pretty funny, Dickson.

And, I think, a San Francisco Irish catholic, a home boy, a diminishing minority of the once and former city's 'le tout' (Dan White too) in a city with several cultural overlays that have no doubt brought in a whole new slew of class presidents. Used to like him, now I have some questions...haven't seen him for awhile.

I was willing to tolerate Chris Matthews even though he is completely misrepresentative of the SF bay area and doesnt belong in the Chronicle... the city hates him, etc. But then, the last straw was his suck-up interview with Dan Quayle a couple of weeks ago. I mean really, embracing Dan Quayle is about as low as you can go, not only because Quayle is a complete dufus, but his policies of governmenatal social engineering are compeltely out of step with the west coast (and maybe everywhere else too).

I still say Matthews became more conservative after he got the cnbc gig.

Why did he vote for the guy twice? (However chagrined he may be now...)
