Do I use the name already given to my computer (BigBoy) or do I modify that name for this second install of NT?

You are asking me about NT?? I'd go with BigBoy..strictly a guess. You won't be running both NT installs at the same time so I doubt it will make a difference...again just a guess.

Use a different name. Your install will have a different
system ID (SID), which identifies it on a windows network.
Two PCs on a network with the same name and different
SIDs (even if not on at the same time) will make you sorry
sooner or later.

One of these days you're going to network that sucker to
something else. You will have network security conflicts
if you don't use different names.

However, no fear. You can change the name after the fact.
It's done in Network properties.
