Sounds computer-geeky to me, but I suppose if they helped, they would be nice. There are many, as we have seen, that can't handle what they have. I have seen so many programmers wanting to get out of QP to their favorite language, but I haven't heard of any useful results in applications.

It's hard to hear of useful results when there's no way to generate them. People didn't know they needed automobiles till we had them.

The things I listed were brought on by actual things I've wanted to do rather than "gee, wouldn't this be neat" type of actions.

You can't print a report (or even generate one) that told you how many issues qualified in a given scan, for example.

min(), max(), etc. take 'tokens'. If they took actual arrays, they'd be much more useful, as you could pass them any array you wanted, whether it was built in or you built it yourself.

What's the smallest RSI in the last 10 days? Can't do that now with min; gotta roll your own. Arrays would make that much easier.

As Gary said, he's going for the non-programmer, and that's fine; what made me REALLY happy is that at some point, he's also going for the programmer. So I'll wait until that happens, and continue rolling my own until then.
