DRAM Market Forecast Update Part 1 & 2
Report Number: DR9807P1 & DR9807P2 PDF File Link on this Server
Publication Date: November 1998
Number of Pages: 91/123
Report Price: $ 2,995.00 USD

DR9807MF provides five-year forecasts and historical data of DRAM market activity in dollars, units, and ASP. The data is sorted by DRAM density and is further broken out by bit organization, architecture, geographic regions, and end use markets. This forecast indicates that the extreme soft market that developed during the second half of 1997 and continued throughout the first half of 1998 has begun to turn and that total 1998 DRAM revenues will be $13.2 billion, off 33.3% from 1997. Recovery is forecasted to continue through 2002 when revenue will reach $45.4 billion. This report also forecasts that the “4 times density” progression of DRAM generations is about to change, and that the 64Mbit density will be followed by a 128Mbit density that will see substantial use and generate in excess of $1billion revenue in 1999.
