It does sound like speed is less critical given your current applications. You will notice things like much faster program launch times, but that isn't critical. Perhaps you would discover a use for more power and speed as it was given to you (I certainly have.) Then again, there's a lot to be said for "if it ain't broke...."

I do think that moving to multiple monitors is an excellent reason to upgrade. As ZP said, W98 and WNT support this much more robustly than do earlier OS's. And PCI video cards are rapidly growing obselete, so putting 100's of $ into a single PCI video card is one I wouldn't generally recommend. Perhaps in your case it would make the most sense.
