My 2176 (post-split) shares in Zulu is all I own and will be the only benefit I will receive, the value of those shares. Given you make $70-$100 dollars an hour, sure my 2176 shares pale against someone with your income earning potential. But, to me, my investment is important.
My shares represent inheritance money from my parents. Why wouldn't I want to defend this? Meanwhile, you do everything humanly possible to assure that I'll lose this money. Nice guy you are! Plus, you're so bullheaded about it, it's obvious you care nothing about other investors like me. Do I resent this in you? You bet!
In my view, you're nothing more than an extension, a bad drain wake, if you will, of Wired's unfair 180-degree turnaround reagarding its perception of Zulu. Is it mere irony your posting appeared at the same time as Wired's groin-kicking journalism? This coupled with the fact that this past year you've expended nearly $100,000 worth of software architect's salarly-time blasting away at Zulu--this, at a minimum, makes me wonder about the term "consultant."
You see, what you do, Jon, defies the logic. The only thing which could fit a pattern of some kind of logic is if you're involved with some kind of a contest with folks like Pluvia, Bear Down and other old SI hands who, as a hobby it seems, try to expose stock scams? At least they got the right stocks to condemn. You missed! By the way, I notice you haven't used the term "scam" in recent months. You used to use it. Or have you forgotten?
You tell me. What have you've personally gained from contributing 10 to 20 daily posts over this past year?
Just consider all of your time absorbed by researching past posts, attempting to qualify your own statements, examining SEC filings (100-page thick), digesting websites, backgrounds of company business affiliations and subsidiaries, backgrounds of management, domain searches, examining press releases, the competition, the state of the art of the industry, and on and on and on.
Heck, you've even cited dictionary terms--even though HIGHPLANESDRIFTER only seems to care when I make a typo or a spelling error. You have noticed he gives you a free ride, doesn't he?
You write about the Dryers moving in with their parents to spiff up SI. Heck, it might be prudent for you to do the same thing, just to jusitfy your presence here and all the time it takes for you to merrily condemn Pat Hayton, Zulu and its investors!
What do I gain from doing what I do? Well, as you know, I type transcripts. I get out of my bed and I'm three feet away from my computer where I work on these transcripts. I used to live in an environment with six female roommates, more recently three. Musicians come and visit. I still manage to both work and have fun, even when I'm posting on SI or Yahoo.
But, more importantly, I've also gained the following from my participation on these threads:
1) I've stood up for my beliefs and what I consider right. I've defended others in this process and I've criticized where appropriate to do so.
2) My posting has caused me to meet the most beautiful women ever in my lifetime. As many of you know, ZuluIsland and I have established a most wonderful relationship.
3) It's been an opportunity to establish several good friendships, some of whom I've met and others who I hope to personally meet some day.
4) I find myself writing again, whereas my transcription has been more of an editing function. Also, typing in excess of 100 WPM enhances the dexterity of my fingers which helps me musically as a guitarist.
5) I've discovered more closely just how cutthroat some people really can become when it comes to money. I sort of knew this already, but it's different when you confront them in forums such as this.
6) I enjoy the politics of experience and discovery, and there's been a lot of that for me due to my SI/Yahoo/Bobz participation.
7) Determination. I missed the very first Zulu pop because I temporarily had withdrawn my money in order to play for a phamaceutical merger. When I got back in, the share price was higher than my original .17 1/2 purchase. Shortly thereafter, Wired came out. And like many, I immediately sold half of my holdings. I didn't sell all because my own sense of journalism had my gut telling me that something didn't feel right about Wired's reporting, particularly when juxtrapositioned against the very first and very favorable Wired reporting on Zulu. Gradually, I bought more averaging down, my last purchase being 10,000 (pre-split) shares at .15. Presently, I'm holding a position which seems right for me and I am evermore determined for it to succeed. Hence, perhaps with a determination stronger than others, I defend my investment.
8) When I'm right, I'll do everything I can against the wrongful actions of those perpetuating wrong.
So in conclusion, JT? Your actions are wrongful. They are distortive and they show no compassion for Zulu's innocent investors. Your everyday, very tiring negdrop of word heapings, for the most part, are unnecessary. The kind of presence you've given us is dispacable. Though I'd prefer you go away, I'll still defend your right to expression. But that doesn't mean I have to give you a free word ride.
I'd certainly understand if, as a matter of interest to you, you kept Zulu on your radar screen and every now and then chipped in a negshot or some well-founded criticism. But this isn't what you do. What we get from you is the kind of excrement we'd all prefer to see move on down the drain. Do you think we enjoy seeing your crap every day? Of course we don't! Contrary to how you feel about yourself, you are not Mr. Clean!
In effect, you have about as much respect for us as you do for someone new signing onto your Stock Club ( stockclub.com ) only to discover it's out of date, ineffective and full of advice from you which your very presence here proves you don't even follow yourself. Just take a moment and think about this fact!
It's your mirror, JT. View it way you wish. Meanwhile, when I see my own reflection, I at least see a very happy man whose most pleased that his presence on these threads caused him to meet the most beautiful woman in his life.
PS: Being one who loves to party, it is my sincere hope--and I've expressed this to others--that if Zulu hits the Big Show and its investors become wealthy, that I will be the one who gets to organize the victory parties. Where will you be when we're all having fun? How will you feel about the other investor who read your comments and ended up selling his/her inheritance money based on the quality of your remarks? As party organizer, will I get to hire you as a "consultant" participant for a dunking booth? |
