Ref:Dellaution.com-------> This is what I am thinking.

Checked the domain registration site (InterNic) and found that indeed there are many names registered under Dell Corp but they are all related directly to the main business of the company that is computers, and it appears that they are all registered at earlier dates prior to 1999 and none in 1999 except Dellauction.com which is dated Feb.02,98.

So draw your own conclusions for right now until we hear something from the company officially, in the mean time all I can do is speculate with the rest of 'yous'.

Having said that let me just say that we have some evidence that the company is thinking about Internet-diversificataion.Case in point, the following comments which appeared in SmartMoney Magazine and I quote:->

...The company is not ready to reveal any sort of Internet-diversification program, but a spokesman allows that there is talk in Round Rock of leveraging Dell's Web presence.

"We're definitely thinking about that, but we don't have an announcement at this time," says David Dix, Dell's global Internet public relations manager, adding that future online efforts would not stray too far from the company's winning formula...."

If anybody thinks that Dell will sit idly by and let the +12 million 'eyeballs' (a month at current levels),which btw is another name for gold mine, go to waste while others take the lead in E-Commerce they got another thing coming, naaaaah Michael Dell and the gang are not that stupid,..not gonna happen is what I am thinking.

So there, that is what my commentary is on the subject.
