I am also encouraged by what I've heard (emphasis on second hand hearsay) in the MS channel. That they, MS are tightly coupling the MetaFrame code with hooks at a deep level in NT. In other words, MetaFrame may be recognized by MS as indispensable to corporate installs of WTS, and MS has no plans to try to recreate it - not with 32 million lines of WIN2000 code to deal with and an already dangerous delay in shipping.

>>Reading between the lines, there is an implication that MSFT never intended to develop it's own multiuser software, it just used vaporware as a club to lower CTXS stock price, and get their attention in order to get better terms.

I strongly believe that's what happened, both now and then. Those of us that ignored Allchin's FUD and bought at that opportunity made out like bandits.

Having said that, I sold my $8 shares on Friday. At this moment, I'm neither long nor short.
