I believe that Red Chip Review covered the stock for a period starting Q1 1997 and ending Q1 1998. They dropped Valence from coverage after their analyst left, and cited reasons including Cal Reid's departure, the delays in coming to production, and apparent lack of financial resources.

I am unaware that the Red Herring group ever covered Valence, but their list is a good one, in my opinion. In addition to VLNC and NETE, I or my family own INTC, CPQ and SUNW. And a private very exciting biotech company called Layton BioSciences, Inc. (www.laytonbio.com).
