And where will it be from when eBay drops back to its fair value of 3 dollars per share?

Not posting to this thread, i'll bet.

No, Glenn. You are hung up. It is costing you dearly.

This is from the heart.

William,

The stock price has cost me dearly. Very dearly. The fundamental argument is intact and falling directly into place. The stock price will no longer cost me anything.

You have posts on this thread from last year that sounded like you were parroting Covey, Bezos and the analysts. You have stated that Amazon will be profitable with a billion dollars in sales. I promise Amazon will exceed a billion dollars in sales in 1999 and losses will be greater than they were in 1998. It is likely that Amazon may do $2 billion in the year 2000 but profitability will be nowhere in site. This will continue until the cash from the recent bonds is burned. I do not have a clue as to what trick Bezos can pull then but suspect he is good enough at manipulating stock prices that he will come up with something. This is not suppose to be about stock price. It is suppose to be about a business that can eventually give a return on invested capital.

William,

Look at the change in the business model since last year. The change in loss estimates. Have you seen improvement?

Glenn
