..Any one now the long term history on VTR? Were they
one and the same some time back?<<<
Actually there is no "long term" history for VTR. VC, I think , separated its real estate assets, knowing there was a bumpy ride ahead, less than 2 years ago. IMHO a wise move.
They have had bad press, under investigation for government billing errors(however all the large healthcare groups included),patient lawsuits, possible accreditation losses.
Doesn't look good, but VC being VTRs only customer,I'm sure the rent will get paid first. Not too positive about VC, but they could be acquired by one of the other large healthcare groups that survive, and they all won't go BK, key area hospitals won't be shut down.
Mr. Pinks thread has some VTR comments, and you might check Bill Wexlars thread and ask him his opinion now on VC, I think he is long.

thanks, but, first, I took VTR off pot. list for now, on new low.... second, VTR was a broken spin-off from a larger company in 1998, if you wish, call them for details, at (502) 596- 7300
and, third, remember, the stock will fall, by the amount of any dividend paid, that day, right ? so most cash dividends never make anyone money themselves....hope this helps...good luck....
