" Even within the companies announcing layoffs, they're growing in those parts of their business where innovation leads to either the promise or reality of excess profits."
Ian that was then and this is now. If you are saying that the legacy technologies wil are still viable I agree. MY point is that NN has for the last several years staked its future and money ion developing a new carrier class ATM. It is my opinion that this will be a huge market to sell into. For sure there will be competition from others for this business.. It is my contention that the "innovation" of NN is leading to the excess profits. If you read the Preliminary Estimates
"ATM equipment orders increased 45% compared with the preceeding q significaNTly exzceeding the 10% sequential growth of WAN packet orders.....I remind you that IP+ATM is the companies long-term engine growth. We enter the q4 with a record backlog."
Now if you look at that that does not say they shipped 45% more but the order intake and backlog are growing fast ie demand is building for there wares. This to me is what I expect will drive NN earnings well above current projections. Innovation and executuion and it seems with Lutz and NN resurrecting theeir partnership in a big way the access of the markets to the best ATM has been resurrected and the high margin big ticket sales engine is getting ready for prime time
Regards and looking forward to watching the chart TA and revenue spike up as the product hits the customer channels.
