If the National Post has it right, they reported, and I am
going from memory here, that at the request of RIM a large
Canadian investor (institutional) sold about 4.???mm shares
which were then crossed to US institutions which then became the Nas float.
IMO the price went up then down account US markets down
combined with a large block of stock that was available to
be distributed. This all occurred the day before RIM started trading on the Nas.
Haven't looked but it is possible if you went to the NP
web site and inquired about RIM this could be confirmed.

First Service Corporation (FSRV)was interviewed by Investor Online January 30th. They I think were the first to request the removal of the "F" if memory serves me right.
There claim for the removal was that they felt it had a negative effect on trading there stock. Nasdaq agreed.

Here's the site to view the interview. Go to January 30th and click on your modem speed. You'll need Real Audio. To save time drag the scroll bar 2/3 rds down the bar.

Also, for those interested if you visit the same site you will find an interview with Bob Powers. He's works for the Nas, and answers questions about requirements etc.

Scroll down to Oct 17th. One again, dragging the tab 2/3 rds down the bar, it'll save time.
