Pairgain is my xDSL investment. I actually don't have a problem with Pairgains management. They said for the last two years that ADSL wouldn't be in mass market and they were correct. They made money for the last two years on HDSL, and planned for ADSL with a chip and the ATM/DSLAM switch.

Pairgains management has said they will not compete on price in the ADSL market, ala Alcatel. I've concluded Westell can't compete on price and they don't seem to be able to compete on functionality or performance, ala Avalon testing.

On that other topic, Singapore, Alcatel has their own ATU-R modems... until later.
