Remember QTNT?

That had a low float.

Is low float good?

On a float of 500k or less...

The spread creates risk.

If only a few people buy in before it moves up dramatically, that creates risk and kills any new interest or buying. Tougher to sell with a profit.

Unless the fundamentals can drive the stock beyond pure momentum, playing these for a short term pop can be difficult.

BTW, anybody know of any studies on the relationship of float vs price vs volume?
