Unless I have missed some statement, the last I remember is that Nelson said earnings would be flat this year.

Well he better tell the analysts this because they are showing a 6.6% increase from last year and next year from this year a 16.6% increase.

This is not super growth but at least it isn't a loss considering most software companies are getting hit with the Y2K problem. Which for the life of me I can't figure out why companies that upgrade the hardware wouldn't upgrade the software but after Y2K they will be upgrading the software.

If you have a long term goal I would say Geac sure looks good in the year 2000 and I think the heard mentality is causing Geac to drop considering most people don't understand the difference between Geac Computer Integrated Systems and computer software companies like Peoplesoft, Jetform ... which generates revenue from software sales only.

Considering Geac has lots of cash and the software companies are getting beaten up this give Geac a chance to buy something at a reasonable price.

And the big question is can Geac generate EPS from their newly acquired Interealty Corp. and offset the presumed short fall of software sales due to the Y2K problem.
Interealty Corp had annual revenues of approximately $100 million.

The quarter report will be interesting and it looks like the street is writing them off.
