EBAY's tiny float will either be your best friend or worst nightmare if you are short this one. Because the lock-up on the "insta-billionaire" insiders has expired, you could hope that even the smallest overhang could cause this pig to drop. Actually, I believe that is some of what we have experienced since 48 hours after the earnings release. Good thing happy_girl got out (BTW hg, not bad so far on the BBY and DELL). Anyway, OTOH, all you need is one deep pocket to try to cause this thing to run by buying a large position and then causing a big squeeze. A real squeeze, not the type most people refer to incorrectly. The type where you are forced to cover because the person you borrowed the shares from is demanding them back, not just because you are scared shitless and losing your ass.

Good Luck

Guru.

I think that GeoCities looks like a good short...
Unfortunately Datek has no shares to short....

egrp has bad karma for me,
will not even go there,
long or short,
ebay karma is pristine,
these dudes are really something
other than controlling the float,
but who can blame them....
