RE:"anyone see a Y2K pattern here 'sides me?".... Nah, nobody can sees 'em like you O' P. <G> Seriously though, I can see the effects of Y2k being like those of hurricane panic here in FL. Especially those who have no experience, and that's everyone when it comes to Y2k. Let's see.... Starting about a week or two out. All the plywood is ravaged from Home Depot. In the case of Y2K, all the alarm systems and locks will be gone not to mention generators. All the bottle water is gone from store shelves. In the case of Y2K all the water and food will be gone. What the heck, fill up the bathtub for good measure. Beer and wine will be no where to be found. Won't be able to find a cooler or any ice at the last minute. Bibles will be sold out too.... As with a hurricane, gasoline will be in short supply. Fill up the car and maybe a few gerry jugs. Stock up on the propane tanks for the outdoor grill too. LP gas fill up stations will be "out". I guess you can get charcoal brickettes just in case. Plenty of fuel oil if that's where you get your heat. Definitely a couple cords of firewood. Pot belly stove is optional. There will be a run on cash from the bank despite being assured that your statement is all you need. You know, just in case they lose your account. You could by puts on the market but they probably lose your records. Always a good idea to have plenty of batteries for the flashlight and candles. Matches of course. Guns? Yep, gotta have a gun if case your neighbor wants to steal your food. If you have beer, better get an assault rifle. Medicine? Oh yeah. Stock up on that too. Especially high blood pressure medicine. If you live near the ocean or lake. Stock up on the fish hooks and bait. If you don't, keep an eye out on you dog, cat horse or mule if you get my drift. I wonder if anyone will remember to buy gold? Hummm, Jim
