I understand that you do not closely follow the SA pgm producers, but hope that I can draw you out on AngloAmerican Platinum. Particularly on how tightly it is held by its parent (contrasted for example with Anglogold), and its merits as an investment compared to Imapala. Neither of these two companies look attractive from the point of view of a US investor, especially since their ADRs are difficult to trade. Johnson Matthey stated that Impala lacks shallow reserves and thus have little flexibility to increase output. But IMPAY is discussed here in the US as the vehicle of choice for investors.
