Soccer...& Sports.

At a young age I was brought up in an environment charged with Sports and the enthusiasm that comes with it.

"Healthy mind in healthy body"

They said to me..... I guess it worked.

As for the World Cup... well it is the only thing I watch now, an orgy of soccer excess but that's ok, it only happens every 4 years.

Besides, it was fun to watch it and argue friendly (except for one instance that I wish to forget), amongst other soccer nuts.

The only one problem we, as the world community must face.... is... well... the terrible thought that not only Brazil lost the Cup.... but worse yet, the FRENCH won it..... Now we must suffer for it. <g>

As for:

You know that there is no challenge great enough for a determined scientist.

Indeed, that is precisely why I have faith in technology and I trust that the scientist and engineer will beat the politician, (and his attached cousin the bureaucrat).

How so ?

By keeping the Internet free of the possibility of 100 % regulation, if a network free of big brother can be accomplished, then true free trade and a system of free thought and free market will succeed.

Maybe not next year or two, not even five years... but in due time.

Meanwhile, the alternative best thing is already taken place, as I already mentioned it: Governments are beginning to treat their subjects as clients and not mere sacrificial lambs.
