Hi Nancy, Pray you and Alan are well. I saw that Gus was new to posting here, and nihil is indeed crafty. I do know he is loved by the Lord as all the Lord's creation is, but I stop short of saying nihil is frustrated. I would not call these posts as those of a frustrated person, but of one who is blinded and who intends on blinding others. (well I was going to post some of nihils comments here, but I see that shalom posted them ib his post # 24129. I agree with shalom in what he says about nihil. ) I know what you are saying about Jesus not rebuking sinners,He being God always knew the right touch to use didn't He? But sometimes He et it be known such as telling the woman "to go and sin no more", He changed others just by His attitude and appearance and power. Here is something Paul said about those that claim to speak for the Lord. Phil. 1: 12 Now I want you to know, brothers, that what has happened to me has really served to advance the gospel. 13 As a result, it has become clear throughout the whole palace guard and to everyone else that I am in chains for Christ. 14 Because of my chains, most of the brothers in the Lord have been encouraged to speak the word of God more courageously and fearlessly. 15 It is true that some preach Christ out of envy and rivalry, but others out of goodwill. 16 The latter do so in love, knowing that I am put here for the defense of the gospel. 17 The former preach Christ out of selfish ambition, not sincerely, supposing that they can stir up trouble for me while I am in chains. 18 But what does it matter? The important thing is that in every way, whether from false motives or true, Christ is preached. And because of this I rejoice. Yes, and I will continue to rejoice, 19 for I know that through your prayers and the help given by the Spirit of Jesus Christ, what has happened to me will turn out for my deliverance. I do not use this as a scripture as a defense for anyones hate of another, but I DO use this to say that if I say something that is not so, the hearer will IMO hear what needs to be heard OR will search out the truth BY THE POWER OF THE HOLY SPIRIT. That is why the HOLY SPIRIT is given to come to knowledge and understanding of God and our Lord. Ephesians 1:17 I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better. 1 Cor. 2:12 We have not received the spirit of the world but the Spirit who is from God, that we may understand what God has freely given us. 13 This is what we speak, not in words taught us by human wisdom but in words taught by the Spirit, expressing spiritual truths in spiritual words. While I certainly have my arguments here, and am not perfect, I cherish anyone who calls me a "brother in the Lord." thanks God Bless. dan
