The sooner the new standards are actually implemented, the better for everyone. In the future, when a company announces a major new mineral discovery, the investing public should be able to have a higher degree of confidence in their claims. In the past an investor was always flying in the dark in at least two ways: 1. Would the company he bought stock in some day announce a major find, and 2. If they did announce a major find, was the claim legitimate? When the new standards in place, the risks should be greatly reduced, IMO.
