Remember, the Democrats will have to carry the baggage of voting not to convict an obviously guilty president. Of course, more may follow Sen. Byrd's lead, so anything can happen. Darrell

BUT, and don't think for a minute that the Dems don't KNOW THIS,: If they vote to acquit the s.o.b., without the cover of a censure, which they dearly are begging for, THEY take on the responsibility of his actions, and whatever new revelations and charges against him and/or Hillary that come down the pike, for the next 22 months! I believe the Dems know THAT would be betting against the odds. That is, I believe that during the next 22 months, there will be a MULTITUDE of new charges and revelations brought against Slick. And if the Dems are perceived as being responsible for him still occupying the WH (you can be assured that there are thousands of video clips which will prove that beyond a shadow of a doubt), the 2000 elections will prove to be the stuff dreams are made of for the Reps and an utter NIGHTMARE for the Dems. So, we MAY be in for pleasant surprise during the next week to 10 days. Or, at the very least, it'll be fun watching all the Dems get ulcers worrying about what new crap is gonna be revealed tomorrow, and tomorrow, and tomorrow... Maybe it's time for the Dem Leaders to make a quiet visit to the Oval Office, huh? Have a little chat, maybe. Think they have the gonads? jim
