Five days is definitely not enough time. Part of correlation depends on stage of market. Also there are some sectors that are normally this way like the biotechs which do not report positive earnings for up to years and even tell their shareholders this but the stock trades as though the biotech is a big money maker "real soon now". Judy here on SI would be a good one to ask. But I have seen anywhere from lets say to to three quarters or more. Sometimes over one year. My short term trading does not warrant this type of analysis, so I ignore the fundamentals. I do sometimes look at earnings momentum.
